In phase one finding a specific topic to write about was somewhat confusing for me. I thought i could write and discuss about politics, and how certain pensions take away the taxpayers dollars for unjust causes. Yet, the subject what extremely contravertial, and the research found on the subject was hard to find, or if information was found. Many biased opinions were put into the matter. The subject matter is how far educative programs with today's technology,. and how well it has helped develop education in today's age. Yet, with all of the resources, tools, and computers we have at hand today. Some higher education methods are hindered because of these advances in technology.
Composing the webtext's it's layout was a challenge because of the idea of having it match what i am writing about. The fonts and colors in the webtext that i chose make me happy the way they are layed out. The webtext is extremely easy to read and pleasing to the eye. Images are quick and interesting to the eye. The matter within the webtext has been has been a subtle tone, the way i have been writing has been slightly boring to myself even. I have had to look over what i have wrote and change the matter in my webtext paragraphs. Subject's within my topic are a slight challenge when trying to place them in a correct order or manner. Having to discuss my topic has also been difficult for me in the beginning, and still poses many challenges due it the poor decisions I make. I have made many choices about what my main topic. It has been challenging to find the write information and then take that information to write a well thought out thesis statement. After finding what the thesis statement would be, the questions to help develop my topic became somewhat less difficult. Finding key words and phrases then breaking them down into the shortest, but most meaningful questions throughout the discussions has been a great help.
Finding research on this topic has been a difficult challenge, and much time has been spent into finding the research I am looking for. I still am trying to find the right sort of information about what specific technologies have increased higher educational. Since the specific topic about higher education has been difficult to find information. The decisions of weather or not it being only about higher education or education in general has been thought of. Although there are and will be many challenges while developing this webtext. I will strive to have a well developed webtext.

I ended following your previous advice about the other subject. The research i found in government pensions was either insufficient in each article, and hard to come by non biased responses. His writings summarizes the methods of teachings and states what could be used to improve lectures and notes the highlights of well developed teaching methods. Much of the writing is about research on course teaching methods, and what is has been done over time to improve our college students' education.
Assessment.
The material in this online recourse could be used to help show what ways are effective on one class but ineffective in another. Also, the research points out critical facts about common teaching methods that are done in classrooms. The writing even talks of common student habits and what professors do to help students better understand material. Not only is this topic about pure research, it also gives insight into the minds of multiple student heads, and how not everyone learns the same. It shows that there is a problem that needs to be confronted, and measures are being taken to improve education.
Reflection
I would use this source for my project to find statistical research, and use it support why and how faculty, students, and professors teach, process information, and help others. This information goes into the early beginning of my topic. It is mostly collected research information that has important notes highlighted not only for me, but any other reader. This source is extremely helpful due to its factual base. It is not biased and is full of trustworthy information.

Summary
In this online writing, a Emily Hanford talks about how another professor discovers how much college lectures may be ineffective in certain courses. The professor Hestenes made his own research reflecting basic foundations of introduction physics courses with on a thousand students form two different colleges. He tested them at the beginning of the semester and then at the end. Improvement only increased by fourteen percent, but all still failed. He noticed that all lectures were extremely similar in their teaching methods. He also found his methods were similar as well. These methods included notes taken from assigned books to courses and then spoken right to a group of students. He had concluded that different methods need to be created in some courses. Students learn in their own way, and sometimes have more troubles learning in ways a professor might think works well, but in the end it does not work at all.
Assessment:
Due to the research conducted by a wide audience of students. I believe this source is not biased, it is more informational and provides hard proof of similar teaching methods that have failed including his own. This source is a wonderful indication of lecture methods that need to me changed, and what ideas there are to help change teaching methods.
Reflection:
For this source, I would definitely use for factual evidence in my topic. This source definitely gave insight on what can be done to change methods, and what methods really do no work for a majority of classes. This source does claim to conduct research about one type of course, but it can show that other courses might or might not require the same teaching methods that are given.

It takes much research from other sites and puts them together to show more productive measures that have been taken to improve the way courses have been taught. Reflection:
This topic would be helpful by supporting the main topic of my project. Because it talks mostly about what has been done to help improve today's higher education, and what is being done on an everday basis. This is a journal of collected information about a course that was struggling to teach students certain information that was required to understand, and what trails and methods were used over a period of time to improve those methods. The topics cover struggling methods turning into successful teaching methods that helped students and other teachers. It mainly goes over what went on in courses, and how students best learned by interacting with each other. Then making improvements to the particular method, and how it developed into an almost fully successful course.
Assessment:
This source is extremely useful, because it shows how common students need certain methods to learn reading from text. It not only shows how students struggled in courses, but how other professors struggled to improve their courses. Since much of it was research that was done about multiple schools and courses, it is hard to believe that most of the information given is biased.
Reflection:
I would use this topic to help give information about common problems within classrooms, and what trials that have been done to improve a course. This shows what methods have been developed into more successful ones and how it works in multiple courses.

Reflection:
This research is useful due to its different approach than other research that has been done. It takes common and more advanced questions about teaching methods, and explains and evaluates them. The topic makes you think why professors teach the way they do, and how students might think methods are ridiculous. However, those methods might be even more useful to students if they open up to the methods instead of shutting down on certain methods.

Proposal draft:
Government pensions, the taxpayers money being wasted and local/state governments budgets going way over spending limit. What can we as citizens of the United States do to solve these problems?
Government pensions are costing taxpayers more because of politicians greed. Many politicians fight for ridiculous pensions that reach over $200,000 annually. Some requirements for these pensions are extremely simple to earn. The problems of today's economy can be solved with many other programs, but no extra programs may be created if taxpayers money is spent by the billions in other areas of government.

His article is about solutions that have been researched and reviewed to try and solve state debts in pensions. He talk of taking away at least fifty percent of most annual pensions for those who have worked much less periods of time.

Is it possible to do a complete subject change? Just recently i was inspired to do research on a topic that is personal to me, yet it is a major problem in today's education and society.
If i chose a new topic. It would be be about how majority of today's college lectures have become almost useless. Much of the research i found was out of pure curiosity. Also, this is extremely personal to me because this is true in other classes that i currently attend, and i would love to learn more about this subject more than anything i have ever thought of.
In today's current research, studies have found that majority of professors lectures have become almost useless to succeeding in class. Much of the research found has concluded that lectures only consist of what is in the book that is assigned to a classroom and nothing else related to the outside world. A class might be lectured on an assigned book for a whole semester, yet nothing outside of the book in similar subjects are discussed about. Also, teaching methods of "repeating" after the book or shortening of books into powerpoints, printed out packets, or slide shows renders lectures completely pointless. Students have more of a chance to read the books themselves than to listen a shortened version of a chapter.
Lectures do not teach the concept of a chapters. Instead it only covers the material in shortened versions. Teachers are currently needing to revise their teaching methods, and more research is being done to prove that teachers are caring less about how they teach. Students lose the ability to grasp the concept that is in front of their face because a professor fails to explain how a concept actually works. What is even worse is that professors understand so much of what they are talking about and students do not understand a word they are saying, or the concept the professor is describing from the book.

Billions of tax dollars are spent towards governmental job pensions. Ridiculous amounts are given to higher governmental positions, and even more unnoticed ones. These jobs already provide enough income themselves to put anyone into early retirement. More of this money should be spent to benefit the country.
This topic will examine the everyday examples around us that most people do not see. It will show how much tax dollars are really spent on certain programs and how much of the money is really being put in our leaders' pockets.

What possibilities are there to stop state budgets from going over, and for that spending to be put to better use than our government workers' wallets?
